A blind tasting of four white wines from four distinct wine regions will follow.

for example...
• the black glass test - how much of what we experience comes from
visual anticipation?
• reactivity to food - what does a nibble of sweetness do to a tart white wine
that follows or how does a peppery cheese affect a big, boozy red wine?
• the wine glass - does the shape of a wine glass influence the experience
of a wine?
• wine temperature - how important are degrees centigrade?

How to buy wine - discussion

• deciphering wine labels
• making practical decisions to suit your wine habits
